Our principal paediatrician is Dr Melanie Pillay.
Melanie has more than 25 years of experience across the full spectrum of general paediatrics, ranging from neonatal medicine, caring for unsettled babies and the extremely sick child, to adolescent health and well-being. She holds fellowship of both the College of Paediatricians of South Africa and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She is an associate member of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators comprising medical practitioners with specialist training in management and leadership of health services and systems.
Melanie holds a public appointment with Monash Health as the Unit Head of Paediatrics at Dandenong Hospital. In this leadership role she is is well positioned to offer a seamless transition between private and public healthcare. Melanie is easily approachable and is always happy to provide advice and share her experience. She is a strong advocate of early intervention medicine and clinical research. Her interests include
